I've been looking around to figure what spray cleaner & wax type product to pick up as the last of my original formula Honda Spray Cleaner & Wax is all used up. I've trolled around and checked. It seems that lots swear by Lemon Pledge Furniture Polish, particularly the guys on the Harley Forums. Knowing how Harley owners generally like shine & polish I'm thinking I'm going to pick up a can today. Any thoughts? Do any here use it?

I thought Rob was trolling me when he said he used pledge on his ninja, but apparently it works really well and you get a fresh scent too.

Yup. Used it before. It works great. Not quite as good as Motul's Wash and Wax. But a good alternative.

Use the multi surface type on the bikes and helmet. Works great.

Been using it for over 30 years. Used to swipe it from my mom's cleaning supplies when I was younger! Has always done the job.

The only new thing I use are Swiffer cloths for dusting.

My Dad used to swear by the **** and his vehicles were always very clean. I'll stick to liquid glass myself but I've seen some proof that I might be wasting $$$

Home Depot brand lemon furniture polish (HDX).
Work amazing. Spray it on visor/helmet, windshield, fairing and let it sit and bugs wipe off no problem. I do the entire bike with it. Use a microfibre cloth and buff with a clean/dry microfibre cloth. No white residue and even if some is left in the knooks and crevices it will help repel water.
Works exceptionally well on black plastics such as mirrors.
Only draw back so far that some one pointed out to me on my last trip when I was cleaning the bike/helmet at the hotel was that it attracted wasps. LOL
Hockey players have been using it for years on visors to clean and prevent fogging. And thier visors are worth a lot more!!

What's wrong with a nice Castile soap? (Dr Bronner's is a good one) It cuts grease and oil. I've used it lots of times to get grime off stuff and would be ok with trying it on a bike.

Baking soda paste to scour without scratching (I do this on an oven to get black carbon off and it works), etc..

We're talking wiping down paint & plastics. That stuff sounds a bit harsh? No?

Well. I'm convinced. Going to buy a can right after work!

It's money well spent. I too have an all-black bike

You know the forum has a signature function so you don't need to type that in at the end right?

So this stuff is safe on visors and works as antifog?

Curious - what specifically are you looking to use the Lemon Pledge for? Cleaning? Shining? If so - what exactly?

Pledge works just fine with a micro fiber cloth. Do not use paper towels as they will scratch your visor over time.
Pledge the front of your bike before a ride to keep the bugs off and also your helmet, inside the visor and out to prevent fogging and bugs from sticking.
It even cleans your dirty greasy rims with just one wipe.
Try it on grease. Be careful you do not spray on your tires.
