Leave your 2up behind?

Speed and alcohol were believed to be factors in the crash.
I agree that the rider was an irresponsible *********, but why would she hop on the back if she knew he was drunk/ish?

you said exactly what i wanted to say. her friends commented her as a "smart, wonderful and fantasic girl", I don't doubt the latter two but if she's really smart, she would have known better. Her first mistake was mistrusting someone who's clearly an irresponsible ********* and her second one was hopping on the backseat knowing that the rider was under the influence of alcohol. Pure stupidity on both sides.

I wish her a speedy recovery and hope there won't be any permanent damages to her. and that bustard needs to be locked up for life.

Wow that 401 situation is awful... Cops wanted to enforce the law, and by doing so accidentally got the passenger killed. Wow. Last thing they wanted, I'm sure.

Wow no posts yet about hypothetical scenarios where the passenger or the rider had a gun and what would have happened in that scenario? I'm surprised.

Sad story for sure - hope the guy gets the punishment he deserves.

OK here goes...
So you should carry a gun when you 2up because if the guy giving you a ride takes off, you can shoot him in the back!!

So if I were the passenger in that scenario and I had a gun, and after he threw me off the bike, and because of the fact that I'm almost near death, but somehow despite my extensive injuries I manage to pull my glock out and shoot him - would that be justified self defence?

What if I had a plastic butter knife instead?

The decision by the cop to enforce the law didn't get the passenger killed, the decision by the rider to try to outrun the cops did.

Or if you meant the cop physically killed the passenger, I don't think that was the case. I'm fairly certain it wasn't the cop who hit her once she was off the bike
