John Bickle sells tubs of all natural leather conditioners......bees wax and other stuff in it. I do mine twice a season. Leather protects you best when it's not dried out.
Leathers are hard!

I always used dubbin on my baseball gloves and boots. Tried it on one of my leather jackets last year and it worked fine
