Since you brought up an RV, if you ever need a battery charger and these are meant for boats and RVs primarily, the Xantrex Truecharge 2 is the best by far that I tested. I tested all aspects of their 20A model about 15 years ago and they still make the same models of various amperages.
All models of 20A or more can use the remote control panel, temperature compensation with the sensor attached to the battery post was excellent. At this point, I do not know if they also handle lithium batteries, I've been retired 11+ years.
Yes they can be used for cars where the remote panel allows you to reduce the charge current. Both ends (power in and charging cables) need to be hard wired which is not a big deal in boats and RVs.
