So here it the issue I rebuilt the starting system new starter bendix the works. Turns over awesome fast but wont start no matter what on electric, one kick and it starts every time according to the interweb this is common but no one seems to know what causes it. Any ideas

So I had one bike that had a confusing floating ground. In that case it was ecu ground, but you could have the same issue with a coil. Basically when cranking effective battery voltage is lower and due to an elevated ground voltage, the differential is insufficient for the component to operate. Fix the ground, the component works and it starts easily. In my case it was ECU ground was ~5V above battery ground reference. ECU worked fine on 9V but would not work at all on 7V.

Not sure the bike starts fine even with the battery out using the Kickstarter tonight I am going to try pushing the kill button while cranking apparently that works most of the time when this happens and if fires instantly after releasing the kill button.

Yup sure enough a quick tap of the kill switch and it fires right up guess that is good enough. Occasionally it just starts but if it doesn't as soon as you tap the kill switch away it goes.
