Looking for a shop or individual with some knowledge of the now low tech gizmos on 80s super sports. Specifically the braking/ anti dive equipment on an 85 GPZ900. Have a running version that needs some work to make it rideable. Current shop isn't too keen on tackling the job and I'm guessing the price will end up more than its worth. This could be a winter project for the right individual or maybe it's easier than I think. I do have access to a parts bike, who's bits may be better than what's on there now.

Any advice appreciated.

I hate those units, they never worked right. Disconnect the brake line (replace with new braided ones), plug the holes, put heavier progressive springs in and heavier fork oil. Unless you want to keep it original....then winter project. Start sourcing the o-rings now as they are a discontinued part. think there was a shop in the UK that made rebuild kits.
