Jacket Modification

This may seem like a weird request but does anyone know of a place that could sew two pieces of thick velcro onto my jacket? I have bluetooth headset that loosely wraps around my neck (shown below) and one of the issues I have with it is that once you hit more than 40km/h it tends to go behind my head or flop around and hit the helmet.

I've mitigated the issue by sticking some velcro on the headset and on my jacket but while the fuzzy pieces on the headset are fully glued on and fine, on the jacket the toothy ones they keep peeling off and I have to buy new ones every other month.

I don't want to hear any "you shouldn't wear headphones anyway" crap, I like having a bit of music at a low enough volume that I can still hear what's going on around me while I ride, they also double as earplugs when I'm not listening to music and they hook up to my phones Sygic GPS map app to give me voice directions without having to mount the phone and actually look at the map.

Thanks

For those interested in knowing, these are the LG HBS700 TONE

Any place that handles leather, especially if they can also make custom leather motorcycle bags, should be able to do that for you.
Although, because velcro doesn't last forever and nor does that headset, it may be more comfortable (velcro rash is uncomfortable if for whatever reason your headset isn't on you) to just have the guy put in a few elastic bands which you can slip your headset through (like a belt through the loops on your pants...but elastic loops so it's under tension when stretched).

The moment I step outside the house the headset is on and stays on whether I'm riding, walking, working or shopping, that's why I chose to put the fuzzy part on the headset rather than the jacket. It's my defense mechanism against other people; headphones on, world off and all that.

Not sure how I would get velcro rash when the velcro is on the outside of the jacket. Having the headset outside makes the volume, forward/back and mute buttons accessible when I have a free hand.

As long as you are aware of Velcro rash and position it so it isn't a factor, then it's all good. He had a valid point, it got me leaking red stuff after a 12 hour ride.

look for a place that does alterations and ask if they do leather stuff.

are you looking to sew the velcro to the liner or the leather itself? I had this done to a pair of the pants on the inside. The seamstress opened up the liner sewed velcro onto a silk backing and then onto the liner and stitched it back up. She did a very good job, and worked for Danier for a dozen or so years before opening her own place.

I basically want it similar to how it is in that picture above(the two circle pads), only less ugly/conspicuous and maybe a bit wider because when it gets cold and I put on more layers then the headphones wont necessarily reach where those pads are right now.

that looks like the stretch panel part. Any half decent place that does alterations should easily be able to stitch velcro on to that.

yah,, like a shoe repair place.... or,,, glue works..

I assume you were being sarcastic, but this would be an easy job for a cobbler ("shoe repair man"). Just avoid the ones you find at the mall, quality suffers when you have to put up with kids who don't want to pay for labour.
Most (experienced) are quite capable and understand the abuse leather can take, just use discretion. Would be a good way to avoid the premium over-head rates you find at specialty leather places.

You did mention you typically wear it around your neck in your first post: "I have bluetooth headset that loosely wraps around my neck..." So I misinterpreted how you would wear it with your jacket.
But you're right, on the jacket avoids that problem. The main, albeit implied, argument I wanted to make was to keep in mind which will last longer: your jacket or your headset. If you think you'll be keeping the jacket longer than stick with alterations (e.g. wider spaced stitching, a sleeve that slips over your collar that has velcro on it, etc) that can be removed and discarded when your headphones are damaged/lost/replaced.

I'm too lazy to sew, so I started using fabric glue for small mending jobs like this. I just checked my bottle, it's "Aleene's Fabric Fusion". Bought it from a hobby store at Spadina/Adelaide couple years ago.

Haha I just bought these from Amazon last week - waiting for delivery. How are they on a motorcycle? Can you hear anything at all? I got it for the same reasons to not have to see my phone while guidance is on.
