Confuscius he say "when it stinky hot outside enough to bake nads..... side stand slippy diggy into softy softy asphalt and tarmac, heavy bike tip over time maybe....be like wise man..use crushed pop can under side stand"

Translation....your side stand will dig into tarmac and asphalt on a hot day like this if you leave your bike too long. It can dig in so far that it will tip over. Use something to spread the weight under the sidestand. A crushed pop can does the trick but other people use different things.

The round metal end from a concentrated juice can works great. Big enough to save the bike and small/light enough to fit in any pocket.

I have a plastic coaster that I got from a Yamaha test drive day it fits nicely in my pocket. It has ridges on the bottom that keep it from slipping out from under the stand

The little round galvanized covers for electical junction boxes work really well too, about $0.50 at CDN tire, Rona, or HD.

I have a soup can lid that rocks !! if you can use and one of those "magic" openers that doesn't leave sharp edges

Dont park, Keep riding!

Honestly, here at work they poured us a 6m x 20m concrete pad for bike parking. we dont have to worry about sinking in.
