It's all fun and games until someone crashes...

They'll also cover ALL of your gear, so for sure get a new helmet, don't risk it ;)

You sure about this? I was under the impression gear was not covered under regular bike insurance (although it would be great it it were).

Oh and fyi for the OP, in case you didn't know Honda is having a demo day at Brampton Powersports this coming Saturday (August 11th) if you did want to try out a few other bikes as possible replacements.

I'm with State Farm, all of my gear was covered, including even the clothing I was wearing as well as the camera that was attached to the bike, and the one over my shoulder too!

Hey bro I am sure we will see u back nothing can keep you down man ... Just when I was gettin to like u and the burritos special nights we share lol we can 2 up lol

I'd say if you're shaken, try to get back on sooner rather than later.

You don't want a confidence shaker rooting in your mind and growing.

Nothing is free in life my friends. If you are able to take care of the damages yourself without having to make a claim you'll be better in the long run especially if you were at fault. If on the other hand you are able to claim against the other party then claim it all and include a set of golf clubs if it makes sense. :)

Gotta say this is good advice. Get up and get back on it as soon as you can.

I crash pretty regularly, most of the time I pick the bike up, shake it out in the first 100 m and then get charging again. You just take what the incident was as a learning experience and try not to do it again.

Feel pretty lucky (but also sad as you can imagine); jeans didn't tear or anything so there's not a drop of blood.

This is the worst feeling...when its not even serious enough to rip your jeans but the bike is messed up...
We heal with time, bikes heal with money...

You mean there was a time you didn't like me? I'm hurt pal.

sorry to hear... chalk it up to a tough lesson and move on!

go in and get the right advice from your agent....ask them what making a claim will cost you over 6 years....
you'll pay for it.....its a matter of time...
then ask them what happens if you get into another claim within thoes 6 years?
know your risks
