A asennad Member Oct 22, 2011 #1 I am looking for my first bike. Not looking for anything fancy and many of the bikes I see in my price range are 80's and 90's models. I read that some insurance companies will not insure bikes over 20 years old. Should I avoid looking at older bikes?

(not that I was looking) Other companies would only provide the minimum coverage....so if the bike was ever stolen, or caught on fire I was SOL.
