Insurance with M1 ?

Hi Guys,

I read somewhere that people got decent insurance with M1 as insurer gave them 60 days to complete safety training ?

Anyone can confirm advise on this.

Thank you

Haven't heard this, i imagine you should just wait and complete it.

Some companies will consider you as m2 licensed if you pass, even if you still have time on the clock before you can upgrade.

I'm hoping to complete it asap... Booking appointment tomorrow.
Any idea which company would consider that and they would save the wait period.

Thank you

Hopefully someone who has done it can chime in, seen it in other threads but don't recall offhand.

Riders Plus is one for sure...at least was when I was with them years ago.

Dalton Timmis, possibly under some underwriters.

Then again, so many rules and underwriter policies have changed in the last year or so that what was the case even 12 months ago may not be any longer. You'll need to just call around.

Got my M1 in May, completed my training course this past weekend, won't be able to officially get my M2 until end of August. AllState, Riders Plus, Mitchell & Whale, Dalton Timmis, Intact, Desjardins, Johnson, and The Personal were able to quote me as if I already had my M2.

What did you do later? I currently passed the safety course but can't get M2 until November.
I can't wait to ride on the road so I'm looking for insurance for M1.
Do you have any suggestions?
