Insurance in Peel Region.

Is anyone's insurance rates increasing in Mississauga or Brampton ?

Bike: '02 Vstrom DL1000. Coverage for liability only. Just turned 60. Live in Mississauga.

My rate went up 13% from 2013. No accidents or claims. Last ticket was in 1992.

My argument was I was one year wiser and the bike is one year older. Response was that the insurer's costs are increasing due to phony claims in the Peel Region.

It's not just your area. Insurance in Ontario is the biggest legalized scam there is.

OP ... yes it has, not whole lot in last two years, but it has definitely not stabilized or decreased (as the Politicians were telling us it would ... yeah yeah on average it might have, I guess people living out of GTA are benefiting ... LOL)

if you think it's worth switching, do it. I think we are in times when everyone will change insurance every 2 or so years ... loyalty means nothing anymore in this business.

OP: try calling a few different brokers and see if there's anything more cost efficient.
