Insurance company recommendation for new rider

Hello,

New rider (have 15 years of experience that was not converted to Canadian motorcycle license).

Age 37 and received my M1 and M2 with training last year (2015) in November. Thinking of buying 2010 Harley Fatboy and all quotes I have received so far are $2800+ / year.

Would any one have a recommendation for a company or broker who can give better rate.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Did you happen to do learning curves training Halloween weekend 2015? I remember a guy in my class around your age who wanted that same bike.

Are you dead set on a Harley? You pay a big premium for that choice, particularly if you're looking for full coverage. High theft, high value, high collision repair costs.

A metric alternative will yield an insurance quote about 1/2-1/3 of that price...for full coverage. And the bike itself will cost you a lot less, as well. ;)

If the $$$ are a huge deal, then perhaps put the Harley dream on the back burner for a year or two until you have some more experience and despite still being more expensive no matter what vs a metric bike, it'll be less than what you're getting quoted now.

your 37...you're not even remotely on the same boat for insurance rape like the 18-30 guys.

you can sign up with the multitude of companies that take only 30+ riders.
