Importing from US to Can through family (Cousin)

I know there are a million threads on importing from USA to Canada which are all great resources but specifically my question is in regards to transferring between family between cousins (my dads - sister son) so my first cousin.


Anyone had any experience with this specifically.

I got taxed based on bluebook value at the border, for the bike my cousin sold me for 1000$. MTO will base the tax on the same price they tax you at the border.

I thought there was no blue book for bikes?
