Icon Urban Tank Bag + rain = ??

I've never seen one with a rain cover attached. I just ride it in the rain as is. Spent two long 2 hour plus rides in the rain last summer with it and some paper got wet on the edge of the plastic top because I didn't zipper it up all the way. Otherwise it seems to come out okay. You might want to try waterproofing the bag itself if you want some protection, but of course that's not laptop in the bag kind of protection.

Has anyone else tried to use it as a backpack? The soft rubbery pad makes doesn't let my back breathe so I end up looking like: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_z1xH5ibLFhs/TND8h0LwDzI/AAAAAAAAABE/rSTZunPLgIs/s1600/sweaty+back.JPG

Ya, you fold the pad down. It's meant to protect the tank when it's on the bike and hold a helmet when it's on your back, but otherwise fold it up under the bag.
