I don't think I'll be storing my bike in the immediate future, Though I will be making arrangements and getting prepared. To be honest I am a bit of a wuss when it comes to the cold but sunny mid-days and early evenings are comfortable enough for me to ride without feeling tensed up and being distracted by the cold. So I hope to get out a bit more.
 
I rode until boxing day last year but predict I'll be packing it in much earlier this season. Riding in the cold is doable but it's not the most pleasant. I rode up to Haliburton with a buddy on saturday and we got rained on for hours. Stopped at a gas station and bought rubber dish gloves lol.
 
If it's not raining and no snow/ice on the road, you'll be fine in the elements. I've never had a problem with anything other than rain anyway. Rain makes things slick.

How well do your tires grip in this weather? I'm always afraid of low-siding.
 
My season is almost done - I'm having shoulder surgery on the 25th. So I'll be done then. Right now I find my hand freeze - the rest of me is fine. I thought about putting some of those heat packs I have for camping in my gloves to see if that helps. Will try that today. I'm still new - but I find my corners aren't smooth right now, I wonder if thats from cold tires? And the wind is pushing me around. But I tell ya - I have such a love for riding - that if it wasn't for my surgery, I think I'd keep riding until the snow comes!!!!
