I have 1.5hrs to pick tires. GO!

Ok choosing new tires for the streetfighter. Free shipping from Pete's for another 1.5 hrs.

Bridgestone S20
Michelin PP3
Pirelli Rosso Corsa
Conti Sport Attack2

Lets here it!

Thank you for the heads up on the free shipping, I just ordered 2 Angel STs lol

Don't have enough experience with tires or track yet to comment on your tire choices though =(

Heard they are fantastic but I just figure they are 4-5yr old tech.

Then they must be good if people are still raving about them ;)

Im not sure how long they'll last cause mine only have about 1500km on them, but I've heard some people put 12000km (street only) on them before the wires started showing.

Maybe next year.

If you don't push your tires at all what's wrong with 4-5 year old technology? I bet those tires have much more potential than your willing to throw at them. Either way I'm sure you'll enjoy your new rubber, I've personally been turned off Michelin street tires but again opinions are like ********.

I was using sport touring tires when I last rode on the street.. even down in Deals Gap the ST tires (single compound, not the newer awesome triple compound fancy stuff) were plenty good for dragging knee on the dragon.

I'd rather under ride a tire 90% of the time than over ride a tire 10% of the time.

I know for almost all riding a set of high end "road" tires are fantastic. I was amazed at the Pirelli Angels on my monster. But I could get them squirmy, and definitely broke traction before the Corsa3s on the fighter.

But one tire you get 15000-20000km and the other you get 5000-8000. (Rider dependent of course)

But I really wouldn't want to take a "road" tire to the track. So... Whatcha gonna do?

You did buy a "road tire", one that will suit your needs but it's still a road tire. I had no problem gettin my 2ct's to spin and squirm just riding at semi spirited pace but you learn to ride with what you have. Like caboose said, he was dragging knee with sport touring tires.

Symantecs.

Edit what I put and insert hyper sport and sport touring.

I don't disagree, I said I loved the angels. But they sure aren't the Corsas.

If I was going in a long tour I wouldn't hesitate putting sport touring tires on any bike I owned. Fully knowing it would handle pretty much anything you throw at it.

Simple solution... Have two sets of tires in rims and change as necessary;)
