Have you seen something like this... a "tile" looking keychain fob you can find with your iOS ?

It connects to random peoples phones that have the app installed, and reports their phones position as the position of the tag. I'd imagine it's bluetooth or wifi or something, just hops from phone to phone to keep it's location updated.

No random people running the ap? Then you better be standing within range of it if you want any hope of finding it! lol.
