Sounds like the guy figured out how what steps to go through. Probably means registering it different ways over the course of 2 or 3 days etc. to get through the "system".
Someone here must have an idea of what hes doing. I'll wait for an explanation.
It "may" have worked short term. I knew a dealer of the chinese junk ATV's that "knew" someone at the local Service Ontario branch, he put street tires on an atv and Registered it as a motorcycle, claimed they do it in Europe all the time. Then he rode it to Port Dover on a Fri 13th, didn't even make it into town before the plates were pulled and he was charged, the registration was cancelled by MTO within a few days. The "official" reason given was that it was improperly registered in error.
Never did hear what happened with the court case nor the employee at Service Ontario.

The Guv wants as much of your disposable income as possible. Can't imagine they wouldn't trumpet the plate-ability of MX/ATVs if it were legitimate. Definitely relying on the ignorance of select MTO employees. Just as well though. The extreme bell-ends that ride ATVs on the streets of Britain are legendary.

yep, even the one downtown on Victoria St is privately owned on contract to Service Ontario. (I was there the other day funny enough).
Counterfit fishing licenses I believe.
Doubtful, the chances of a cop knowing the difference between a legal dirt bike and not is very slim.
Dude blacks out only parts of the VIN and other stuff in his photo, leaves majority of his name and postal code visible.
When the police decide to pay this guy a visit they won't have much trouble finding him, at least.

That's the main problem as I see it - who cares if you can get street legal ownership if you can't actually insure it.

For my vintage bikes, I am able to get an ownership using affidavit route, totally legit, but it takes a couple weeks if you have to send letter to the last known address. I have got ownerships for old bikes that were never previously registered in Ontario and for short VIN's. The loophole for registering a dirt bike for the street has supposedly been closed.
Not likely the police will be visiting him but MTO may set him up to discover who are, "I know people" at service Ontario that would be the bigger catch for them. The people he knows will soon be facing a judge and looking for employment. Unlike MTO employees Service Ontario I believe are non union. MTO did this before, (ran a sting), when people were granting fake AZ licences. After MTO gets their people then the Police will be involved to lay charges, (likely fraud to start with for everyone including this guy)
