Interesting because if they stay and the police show up there is nothing they can be charged with unless they're drunk if it's on private property.Well I am going from two incidents that I was a party to.
They both happened on private property.
The person wanted to leave without producing contact info and the Police officer on the phone said to tell them they will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
It was just minor fender bender in parking lot.
Although that does NOT mean that no one is at fault or that it is automatically 50/50, both of which are things the police have told me in the past. They just can't lay HTA charges on private property.
