What does trolling even mean? I joined this site to meet riders, learn some info n ask questions n most people been rude and talk shot for sum reason

So, you're saying....

1) You have never sat on a bike.
2) You have no M1.
3) You want to pick up an R6 having done little to no homework.
4) You are willing to get a colonic from an insurance company.
5) And you want people here to help you achieve all of the above.

Yep, sounds legit.

Nah I dont want a 125 or 250 I would NEVER say I'm good bla bla but I don't want those nd to be honest I thought 750 is worse to start with then 600? I dunno about racing n what not n release don't even care bout racing

Why not the 125 or 250? The image? Why not a 400 or 500 cc bike which will probably save you at least $2000 a year on insurance.

I mean, what am I talking about, if you don't care about racing and you're willing to pay so much more on insurance of course its for the purpose of posing...

Although if you are trolling, GJ keeping people busy with 3 very similar threads :P

Yeah mostly I just love the looks of 600 750 also I'm willing to start Verrrry slow with a 600 doesn't matter to me n isn't 50% of havering a bike for looks? I'm 20.. I like nice things nd I still don't understand what trooling means

It means that you are posting just to try and get people arguing with you for the sake of the argument. People here get that impression from the content of your posts. You seem young, and the insurance rates you provided would support that. Young people in general have very poor impulse control, and young people and supersports is a recipe for disaster. Add in the fact that you have never sat on a bike, let alone passed a MSF course yet and it seems like you are putting the cart before the horse so to speak.

It's easy to think that when people say to not get a 600 because its stupid and you are going to hurt yourself etc. that they are talking **** and being rude to you, you've seen a type of bike that you like and want and they 'just don't get it'. Fact is, they do get it. Many of them were right where you are when they were your age, so they know what you're going through.

Most people here are also seasoned riders, and in their late 20's and up from what I've observed so they are speaking with experience when they are telling you that what your doing might be a bad idea. I'm relatively new to the forum, but I'm sure they've seen teenagers and young adults come here, ask the same questions, get the bike anyways, and end up in the hospital weeks/months later then leave the community as they have a thrashed bike and no money to fix it.

There are many stickies on this forum that answer a lot of questions that new riders have, as well as great advice on where to start your riding career, as well as numerous posts asking the same things you are. It's hard not to be blunt or come off as dismissive when you're providing the same advice a couple times a week all riding season long. I don't think I have seen anyone here that doesn't want to see more people riding motorcycles in Ontario, the more riders we have the more awareness it brings to the lifestyle and the more people riding the more we can effect change. What they don't want to see is you get hurt; They are trying to help you become a positive part of the community, not a negative statistic to everyone else.

To anyone even thinking about getting a motorcycle I would always suggest taking the MSF first before buying the bike. You will get a feeling for what its like on 2 wheels, and motorcycles aren't for everyone. Some people don't enjoy the experience and don't find out until they actually ride one. Others lack the capability to ride a motorcycle safely. Pass your course and THEN buy your bike.

Assuming you're looking for legitimate information, why would you want to "start very slow"? Why not start comfortably, not timidly? And what are you planning, on eventually turning the 401 into a drag strip? Small bikes are not only brilliant learning tools, they're brilliant fun to ride. Rifling through gears, cracking that throttle wide open, and all while keeping it (just barely) within the speed limit. Getting the most out of your bike will help you get the most out of riding.

Enjoy the meal.

As much as I rele don't want to I've thought now to get a 250 or 125 for this season to learn and make my insurence go down next season seen a 250 ninja 2010 for 4000 and a cbr 125 2008 for 2100$

Don't worry about what people have to say in here.

5k for a 2005 with 20k is an ok deal, go see the bike, try to bring someone that knows what to look for (there is a sticky somewhere in this forum with a checklist of things to look for)

Don't be scared by what people consider high KM, most posers don't do more than 6k a year, so a 2005 with 20 is actually low millage. It's not so much about the km on the bike but the maintenance, if the seller can provide any records of maintenance then you know that is someone that cared for the bike

My GSXR 2010 with 3k cost me 8500 in 2011, I believe, telling you this as a point of reference.

I haven't read all comments in here but make sure to get an insurance quote before you buy

Starting on a 600 is not a bad thing, remember that you control the throttle not the bike, it all depends on who you are as a rider and if you never had any experience riding at all take baby steps. Just going and sitting on the bike at a dealership will give you a small idea on how intimidating or not these things are

Good luck

When will that 'tommorow' come when you actually go ahead and pick one up...

Thought you went to go check a few ones out, wht happened?

i actually sat on a cbr600rr and loved it and herd it rev and I lite up smiling I understand a 600 is not ideal for starting with but I rele don't like anything else yes I'm going by looks its true, I got a quote for 5100 for 2003 RR so the 05 r6 would be similar I'm guessing

Reading your previous posts and threads, you do seem to be a bit too eager and immature (young), so you might be better to get something smaller to start, but at the end it is always your choice

Yeah like I said before as much as I don't want to I think the best choice would be to start with a 250 or 125 at least until I learn the gearing and safe breaking, think with my head not my ego I guess

I don't remember him asking advise about buying any of the bikes you mentioned, who are you, his mama? mind you own business and stop preaching

..no offense

It was more of a suggestion to check other things out based on other threads because of the comments made such as "dont have m1 yet", "never sat on a bike", "750 cc may be too big vs a 600cc bike", and being 20 years old. Basically being set on a 600 cc bike cause it looks nice and many people have it.

+ it was mentioned.

Taking a riders training course is a really good way to get a feel of riding a bike AND getting your M2 at the same time. Many courses have the cbr 125 and ninja 250 and can serve as a nice "test ride".

The first cbr is the best one I seen on kijiji, all others are in 4000+ range. Its looks like a scuff- use it to your advantage and bargain. Under 500km- practically new. Insurance will also be 1/3 of the 600rr's

the 125 is not worth it, I've seen better ones for $1500 range.

Although I agree with this statement, they sold for $1500 and less cause it was the end of the season. $1700 is about the average price listed (but you can probably get them down to around $1500 if you talk them down)
