Help me install a slip on exhaust?

Anyone want to help me install my slip on exhaust this weekend? More like just let me come to your place, use your tools and make sure I don't screw it up, give directions/advice where needed. I'm not that confident. It's a cbr250, so maybe you want to see yourself how the exhaust comes off. I'm hoping this evening or tomorrow after noon anytime.

PM me please if you are willing, I'll by beer. No homo... why do I feel I have to say that here?:D

You don't, there's nothing wrong with letting another man put his hands all over your exhaust port and slip it over the shaft. How could that possibly be misconstrued?

If I was home this weekend I'd help you out, but it should be a simple matter of undoing a clamp and a few screws, pulling off the exhaust, add liquid gasket, and putting on the new one. If its not on by this weekend, you can PM me.

Thanks man.

OK I figured it out. Someone else I know was kind enough to help. Turns out the flange on the mid pipe was the wrong size anyway and had to put the stock back on.

Weather report doesn't look to hot for tomorrow afternoon/evening but if you feel like making a trip out east you're welcome to fondle my tool(s).

Thanks for the offer. I learned how to do it myself with a friends help.

We learned that one piece was too big to go inside the other tonight and we'll have to wait for a new one to show up.

Good stuff :) Good luck getting the right parts. What muffler did you go with? Two Bro's?

Good thing you declared no homo to start with! I don't know what I would have though otherwise... ;)

And I'm not riding behind you any more if this thing is too loud!

It's a no name carbon fibre from some guy in hamilton that is importing them from thailand or something. Looks like a copy of the hotbodies mgp growler. Sounds good on the ninja 250 but can't speak for the cbr yet. Hopefully can settle the parts issue quickly with the local dealer.

You need to learn to be in front anyway! I've heard it on a ninja and it's not too bad I don't think.

Hopefully it doesn't implode! My friend put one on his Ninja 250 and after idling for 5 mins the can IMPLODED! I'll try and find the pic of it! Turns out it wasn't real carbon fibre, it was fiberglass with a carbon fibre looking sticker over the outside. And fiberglass is not what you make mufflers out of ;)

Good luck!

I've had the benefit of a friend testing it first on his ninja. It's lasted a week for him. Construction looks decent, looks like real cf and not a sticker, sounds good on the ninja too, with the baffle installed it's not going to make the neighbors freak either.
