Heat Shield

had this problem myself when I was getting new fairings RD sells good size pieces for snowmobiling. I believe snow city got it too if ur in the city.

I am need of some of this for my R6... Been looking at Thermo-tec products. Something with silicone or a thick enough pad that it reduces the heat transfer to the adhesive is required.

Is there any place in GTA sells heat shield ? I know Royal Diatributing sells it but it's little bit too far for me to go all the way there just for heat shield

Royal do ship.

Looks like they have some on pages 10-11 (DEI Reflect-a-Cool looks like it may work)
Loving the DEI products :)

Going to wrap the pipes going from the mufflers to the Y pipe as well, and if I get real brave, might even do the headers :D

SOOOO much nicer, especially when riding in shorts!

When you do the headers, do you just wrap the one closest to the fairing or you wrap all 4 !?

This is my first time using header wrap, so take my advice with a grain of salt! :D

I plan to wrap all four, but the middle two are so close together, you kinda have to wrap them as one pipe for part of it, similar to this pic:

My thinking is that a lot of heat off the headers blows back onto the engine, then out to the side onto your legs. Wrapping just the two outside pipes would only solve half the problem I think ;)
