Oh man. Hope rider is okay. How in the world did he end on on the oncoming lane past the median

I hope so too. I heard on the news that the bike was making a left.

That makes sense. His bike was probably thrown back by the force. It looks like a write off. I hope the rider's in better shape.

Saw this on CP24, reported the rider had head and leg injuries. GWS.

Can anyone make out the bike?? Boots has a black Ninja 400 and rides that route iirc. I ride that way all the time too.

Edit: Was not Boots

Just saw it again on CTV news. Couldn't make out the bike. They were saying the bike turned in front of the car.

I think CP24 said the rider was 50+ in age, if that helps.

Sorry for lack of details/certainty, just saw it as it scrolled passed.

Gws.

Damn, riding season just started and we already have a casualty.

It isn't the first...wasn't someone killed on the gardiner a few days ago?

I don't know why people seem to think its okay to ride rite now just because its a little warmer weather out

A lot of people ride most of the year.
Drove by the accident scene a couple of hours ago. There is a long straight away leading up to that intersection and people gun it on yellow. I never turn left there until they are stopped. I'm thinking that's what happened there, I've seen it before. Usually with cars though.

I'm not sure your comment is relevant to this accident, or appropriate. GWS rider.

It may or may not be relevant to this accident. All I wanted to point out is that the weather isn't optimum for riding. It's still cold which means less traction on tires. Cheers... Ride smart

Use common sense & discretion & you'd be ok. Most people have been doing it for over a decade & seems ok.

If you can't do it, doesn't means others can't do it.
