Finding after a longish day riding I'd love to have something to massage neck and upper shoulders.
Any suggestions.?
I've seen some that hang around your neck. 1707731287613.pngThat appeals too.
I did have one that sort hammered away Shiatsu style maybe but could not bring it ....wrong voltage.
Worked well but not so easy to use effectively.

Seems crazy number of choices

Wife bought the hang around your neck style , bought off Amazon. It was ok .

Yeah, we got one from Costco and that's how I'd also describe it - OK. Ours is a rotating/reversible "Shiatsu" style massager, no vibration. I think it also has heat but never use that. Your arms go through the loops to control pressure, but if you want a really deep massage, pulling the loops down strains your neck and shoulders which sort of negates the massage. So instead, I put it between my neck and the sofa and lean back. We got one of these percussive massage guns and haven't used the neck one since, but to do your neck you need someone else to hold it or again you strain the muscles you're trying to relax:

Thanks good info. Sounds like an around the neck one for me.
My percussive unit worked well but as you say really needed another person;

Most that have "heat" turn on some red leds. More marketing than therapy.

At the recommendation of a doctor friend, I have a car polisher. Works well, far cheaper than a similar massager and I can polish cars with the other pads. Awkward to use on your neck without a second person.

Our same as @Relax , heat setting that did little , forward / reverse rollers and arm weight in straps controlled pressure. It was better than no massage , but the happy ending was on you .

I have a twenty year old Thumper that still works well. I just got a new heating pad from Costco that can heat your whole back and shoulders.

I'll second a TENS machine. I have one that packs up to about the size of a few packs of gum, charges via USB, and the replacement pads are dirt cheap on Amazon. Perfect for travelling with. It's always with me on the bike on long rides and has saved me once or twice in the last many years.

so far so good .. hits exactly where needed
