For any TT fans out there. Guy Martin breaks 5 vertebrae, gets a rod in his spine, a plate in his hand and is back wrenching big rigs...what? A week or so later...?

He is indeed born again hard and puts many of the rest of our species to shame.

Meh, not to be a hater but is that really something to admire? He could just as easily be spending the rest of his life colour commentating races from a wheelchair. Again, not to be a hater, but how much of his hero antics are now done to pander to his expecting public? I like the guy for entertainments' sake and he's prolly a swell dude but if fate takes him out of commission I know I can just click another video. #no hate
 
Regardless of his achievements, Martin is a media personality and everything released is carefully massaged--he is the product after all. As long as the injuries aren't life threatening, hospitals these days tend to discharge patients as soon as possible. On the other hand, patients can also push themselves prematurely and slow/stop their recovery.

Tough as nails to me is repairing and moving a precision diecutter alone (8000 lbs with jacks, rollers and levers only!), while suffering pneumonia on your 80th birthday. He's still going strong.

There's a whole bit about that? I can't understand the words but the raw emotion comes thru loud and clear. Is there a decoder in the fanzine? Maybe check the index?
