GSXR 750 vs 1000 Size Comparison - Getting conflicting info from 'net

I spent the entire morning looking for the actual dimensions of the 750 gsxr and 1000 gsxr to compare. Even from reputable sites (at least they seem reputable) they contradict each other in the length of the bikes.

Even on wiki if you read the 1000 specs, it's utterly ambiguous.

Can someone who is 100% sure please post the size dimension comparisons between 2001 gsxr 750 and the 1000 gsxr? And what was the change in size of the 1000 in 2003.

I saw and wanted to purchase an '04 1000 gsxr, but I don't want a liter bike at the moment and it was expensive. However, it looked amazing. I'm wondering if an '01 750 will be the same size as an '01 or '04 1000.

Why are you so concerned about size? They are almost the same size visually, if you measure them the 1000 might be mm larger.

I am pretty sure the 750 is closer to a 600 than the 1000

The new 750 is 4 mm longer and 8 lbs heavier than the 600 according to suzuki. Op the differences aren't much you'd notice..... it wouldn't be a consideration at all.

Yep, unless you're into competitive racing that weight would be negligible.

I'd recommend anything above 2004. You get better tech upgrades.

And op is this your first bike?

No, currently riding a vintage 82 zuki gs750 semi-cafe and buddy's 99 cbr 600 occasionally. Had a zx250 but it felt weak, small, and just hated it (no offense to anyone). Gladly sold it quick with some loss. Desperately want a liter bike, but playing it safe for the moment.

I believe 2003 on the 1000 had titanium valves. That goes for 2004 for the 600 & 750

The GSXR600, 750, and 1000 are all virtually identical externally if you compare same-generation models (keeping in mind that sometimes the 1000 changed generations a year apart from the other two).

I had an 03. They go wide, hard to fix as it's a chassis issue, but there are ways to minimize it. They went back to 01/2 geometry with the 2005 and actually relaxed it a bit for 07+ and it does the opposite of what you'd think, made the bike turn better. Go figure.
