Grimsby-SimplyMoto and Beyond

The guy up front in the red jacket some here might know this abrasive character...lol..Warptiger.. also Ramone234..another tool...I Used to do all the assassin rides with them. This was the fall colors ride years ago me and the fellow in green (limegreen) posted on GTAM and 50 or so showed up. We had many crashes, one on film which someone posted on Gtam same day the poor guy on a Zx10 blew the corner went bushwacking all on film. Aholes be aholes.
Those were great times with STB with his ATM machine going ballistic every time The assassin would post a ride..lmao...used to get this site hopping.

To make matters worse all my travel has been to southern US and I get to watch people out enjoying their rides while I look at our poor weather forecasts. Back to Charlotte & Raleigh this afternoon

The best for (technical) fun riding I've found in the Niagara Penninsula are:

Ridge Rd E (really Hamilton)
Effingham Rd.
Roland Rd
Glen Rd & Sixth Ave
Sulphur Spring Drive
Orchard Hill Rd
Hansler St & Hollow Rd
Pelham Rd

Warning: often sandy even at the height of summer.

For cruising
Ridge Rd North

This is *a nice day out* to amuse your attention span. Stop and see the 1812 sites maybe? The peninsula is beautiful. . . .

Can anyone add to this list?

You can run a clockwise route starting anywhere along the canal. Say Locke 3 and head south towards Locke 7. Then carry on to Ormond St S that turns in Beaverdams Rd. Follow west and head over the 406. Take either right or left on merritville hwy. 1) right turn or 2) left turn

1) Right, head towards Decew rd and make a left. Follow until Pelham Rd and make a left. Pelham takes you to effingham and head south or continue on Pelham towards Seventeenth St (go right in 17th) and head north towards King st. Then Head west from there and look for roads that lead up the escarpment to ridge rd and back down. It’s not fast but, makes you turn and some of the roads along the escarpment can be fun.

2) turn left and head towards Holland Rd and make a right on Holland Rd and follow until Effingham. Continue straight or turn in either direction.

All of this is residential streets with posted limit of 50km hour. It’s quiet during weekdays in the summer. Often evening runs out to the speedway for ice cream. Weekends have cyclist, busses and old men in cars taking their wife or mistress to wineries.

You can make your way to river rd along the welland river for a bit.

You won’t rid your chicken strips on any of these roads. I’d recommend doing a parade pace lap to see the road conditions before upping the throttle.

Is it worth the ride down here to zip through the area? Maybe not when congested and hot. But, if you are from around here, there are times when it’s quiet and you can zip along at a nice enough pace to make you giggle. I’m braver with my Spitfire getting a little swazy than the bike.
