$100 for a 14" radial trailer tire is a good deal. Trailer tires are NOT cheap. The carcase of the trailer tire is MUCH stronger than a car tire. A good trailer tire can have as many as 8 plies.
If you are not pulling any REAL weight you might get away with car tires.
$130 for that Carlisle at Princess Auto is cheap, but Carlisle aren't very good tires.
I paid $155 for a Goodyear marathon 215/75R15... list price around $230.
Thanks, I don't know much about trailer tires. I'm just helping my buddy find some for his landscaping trailer so yes, he will need to load it up now and then. The good thing is that the Princess Auto ones come with rims. He doesn't really need new ones but his are getting rusty.
What trailer tire manufacturers are good in your opinion then?
