What fits your needle or take the gloves and get a matching thread and needle.
Gah... Seam split on my gloves. Recommended thread to repair them?

I was just going to source some Kevlar thread and have these guys stitch up the offending finger and then look for any other weak spots and sew those with Kevlar too:

I know nothing about thread or needles. Zilch, Zero, Nada...
All I have learned so far is that Kevlar thread seems to come mainly in that odd yellowish colour. There is some black thread but in a thicker thread.
I'd probably use a 23/26 guage thread and a #16/18 needle, if that's what I had. Otherwise I'd use what I had.
If you want black thread V69 UV stable polyester, order from Sailrite.com , they specialize in exactly what your doing, the hobby repairs, its about $12 a spool.

What did you end up getting? I'm also looking for kevlar thread to mend a seam on the wrist of my gauntlet-style gloves, and a seam on my jacket.

Polyester upholstery thread? You expecting to fight a fire in your gear? All the seams in the rest of your gloves and your jacket are not kevlar. Do you think that a couple of mended stitches in kevlar will give you added protection?
