I went in there with my doubts if they would price match like they say. They did and i saved some cash.

I wanted this: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/prod...spx?path=0b9f5764b99eb333abf68a9946453623en02

For this price: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171566

The guy first looked at the newegg link and said we will give you that price but we have to also include the shipping. I said fine, this way i get the same price and don't have to wait for shipping. Well it turns out that the product codes didn't match and under closer inspection the card at future shop was a class 10 but a newer model (45mb/s instead of the older 30mb/s) I was not thrilled but the guy says hey look on henrys for a cheaper price, Was $100. Looked on some other websites and the sale at future shop was still the best price at $60. Then he says i have to go help another customer, keep looking on here and tell me if you find better. Eventually i found it for $49 from amazon.ca http://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-Flash-...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1341979518&sr=1-1 . I showed him and he said perfect and matched the price and out the door i went with the card that GoPro recommends for the camera. Even they sell it for $80USD.

A better option would be to buy it from bestbuy because they give you 10% of the difference off the price. Also they list the price as $120. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...spx?path=5b2e45c33f1d632dd8de95dbe819dc60en02

$120 - $49 = $71 * 0.10 = $7.10

$49 - $7.10 = $41.90 + HST = $47.35 for a 32GB 45mb/s sd card tax in. No waiting for shipping or crappy ebay sellers.

Hopefully someone else can benefit from this deal.

Almost any big retail chain will give you 10% off the price difference. And futureshop does it too - http://www.futureshop.ca/en-ca/help/our-lowest-price-guarantee/hc80.aspx

Nice, I didn't know they price matched online retailers like Newegg and Amazon. Years ago, I tried to get them to price match an item being sold at Tiger Direct (or might've been NCIX) and they refused.

Btw, the cheaper mid-range class 10 cards work fine with the GoPro as well. Canada Computers sells 32GB class 10 SD for ~$23 so if non-SLR cameras are your only application they're a good option.

If you read a bunch of reviews on the cards you will see a decent portion saying that the cheaper cards often have read/write errors. I didn't want to take the chance on such a long and eventful trip. The patriot, mushkin and kingston all got not great reviews.
