Own something awesome and different! - FS: 1996 Yamaha YZF1000r Thunder-Ace *RARE*

Only sold in Canada for 1 year and NOT in this color scheme!

Think of her as a more comfortable Yamaha R1... very smooth, beautiful and very fast...

Bought a seadoo and need to make some garage space - so I've gotta sell one of the babies...

Mechanically perfect, some minor fairing damage from low-speed bump by a pickup truck while I was stationary. (she backed into me at a light)

40k on her. Just spent almost $2000 for an overhaul including (all Yamaha parts):
New Front and rear brakes (Yamaha parts)
New clutch slave cylinder (Yamaha parts)
New fork Seals (Yamaha parts)
Carbs serviced
Exup valve servo replaced (Yamaha parts)
Oil and filter changed
Heated grip installation
Double Bubble Windscreen installed
Carbon Fiber Rear Tire Hugger
otherwise she is fully STOCK

Asking $3500 certified.

I'm the second owner, my buddy bought it new in the UK in 1995 and brought when he moved here. (Now VIN'd and plated here.)
