Frames anyone ?

Don't know about this guy. He has some highly collectible bikes that he is parting out. I asked about some exhausts for my RG500 and all of a sudden they weren't available. This guy is unreal with his pricing also. Who parts out a perfectly good Walter Wolf RG500?

not accusing just seems odd to strip down working bikes . . .

I understand that sometimes you can make more from a bike in parts. What does not make sense to me is parting out collectible bikes that are worth more whole than in pieces because the prices asked for are outrageous.

Seems too fishy. Be interesting if someone goes to look at "engines" and writes/pictures one of the vin for checking.

Most bikes are worth more parted out, just need the time and patience to make your cash.

he brings bikes from the states usually with salvage titles and parts them out. same with a guy in sarnia, 402 bikes or something

That explains it :), **End Topic**

There is your answer OP... ^^^ There are tons of government bike (and car) auctions in the States, where someone with dealer or dismantler license can get amazing deals for cheap.

Guy in Sarnia would be Cody (402bike.com) - great guy to buy parts from, you get your parts next day if you're in Toronto.

402 bikes seems pretty decent.

the other guy not too sure. IMO his prices are right out to lunch. I need some fairing for my NS400R and he quoted me $900 for his busted up ones. I'm like... japanese one with shipping is about $500-$600 tops (EMS shipped) cooltech replica is about $400us.

Stuff's worth what people are willing to pay for it. And wreckers part bikes for a reason.

I have seen some of the same bikes in those listings for the last two years. If they were hot, I'm sure someone would be onto the person by now.

I agree that the prices are outrageous, but the same is true of most wrecking yards. The best deal is usually to buy parts privately from someone who wrecks their bike, or from owner's forums. (Hopefully making sure the parts aren't hot!)

So quick to judge...

That's George from Chifor Racing. I've been to his house a few times. He also does repairs and tire sales/installation. Stand up guy.

His prices are out to lunch. Looking for a spare set of wheels for Fireblade racebike, I msg'd him. he wanted $450 for just the front wheel!
