Frame sliders or no Frame sliders?

Should I put frame sliders on my new CB300FA or should I not... I was told that it would protect it a lot if I drop it, and than I was told that it would break my engine, and it would cause more serious damages than scratched fairings...
What do you guys think??

Get them. But dont get the cheap ones. These are the ones that damage the engine in the event of a drop. Get the known brands like R and G or something. Those are the ones that dont bolt into weak parts of the frame.

It's cheap insurance. But remember they are FRAME sliders....to protect the frame. Fairings can still get scratched or broken.

I'd say get them, but know if you go down at speed they might do nothing or do more damage. That said, I had them on my CBR250RA and just put them on my CBR650F -- I'd rather have them to protect a drop (I can't flat foot), or some idiot knocking it over in a lot, than ending up with damage. Also, if I crash at higher speed, the bike is going to be damaged, so who cares if it is more or less really.

I've went down 2x with frame sliders. Let's just say I'm glad to have them on. They were the cheap ones btw

Get them. I've gone down at 120km/h and the fairing was only slightly scratched.

...now the tail kinda exploded but I don't think anything would've saved that lol

Tail sliders?

Every crash is unique. Sometimes frame sliders could do more damage.

That said my favorite sliders are the woodcraft

I've crashed twice with sliders. First time at relatively low speeds, they worked well and prevented any damage to the frame and saved my side fairing. The upper and the tail took a beating, probably would've been a write off had I gone through insurance.

Second time was at the track (~100kmh), I crashed and while the sliders did prevent any damage to the frame, my fairings were thrashed. Every single piece. Again, they did their job at protecting the frame but the bodywork itself was toast.

IMO, the likelihood of writing off your bike on the street is very high even if it's a light crash. Too many objects to come in contact with to cause real damage to the frame, in which case, sliders would likely not help. I'm only installing sliders on my street bike in the case of tip overs.
