Forever Map - offline/online and routing

So you downloaded canada and switched to it?

I downloaded it and it was the only map I had... thought it should be using it. Maybe I missed something. How do you switch to it?

I got my coworker to check if TomTom has the areas I need and he indicated that it did so I might try that but it's much more expensive than some of the other options.

Installed Forever Map again and somehow this time the map was working right. Still no details up here so I bought TomTom instead. It's on sale for $35, I think, for Canada and US on Android. Which was strange since just Canada and Alaska was $45. The Canada and US map contains Alaska.

Just to follow up, although TomTom costs a little more ($30), the maps are way better.

Yeah I grabbed it as well for the VoiceNav without needing a data connection.

$44.95 with the Canada US map

cool - no simm

I rarely navigate by sight.....hope the Voice Nav is as good a MotionXDrive

Reviews say location interface not so good but good voice nav.

We have a winner!!! While there are a few things I'm not thrilled with Winding Roads is the drop dead thrilla.

Not only that but THREE LEVELS that can be chosen.

That means in PA I can just route between two towns and let it take me via the most winding route.
TomTom was ranked Number One in a winding roads review for this feature.

I can switch a route from fastest to winding and it will recalculate.....
You can get it to avoid dirt, go via winding roads....that is just too cool for motorcycle exploring on a whimsy.

well wasn't perfect - but part of that might be new user too.
Does not handle off route very well compared to MotionX.

Good visuals - voice shuts up when there is a long run.

The map sale must be off then. I paid a little less than you.

Just bought/downloaded forever map. Thanks, MacDoc!

Not perfect but got us out of issues in Europe when all else failed and same in PA when no wireless about.
