Three years ago, I made a post here before the S1000RR was officially released, I said it will have over 20WHP + advantage over the jap inline4 super bikes. People here in general were outraged, and one guy even offered the left nut of his unborn son to me, if what I said turn out to be true lol. (needless to say I was wrong, the S1000RR has over 30whp over the R1)

Then lately, I saw a lot of pro-ducati and pro-rsv4 fans, they were very excited when the 1199 was released, and they were confident the 1199 will beat the S1000RR in a shootout.

But from the news/website I have read, every single 2012 superbike shootout gives the winner to the Bimmer, it does not matter if the shootout is for drag, street or track. the S1000RR simply destroys the entire field, three years straight.

When it becomes clear that the new 1199 can do nothing about the S1000RR, people then began to resort back to their one and ONLY excuse "The S1000RR is ulgy".

For those people, I just want to say: save some money, go to Italy, then go to Germany, interact with the people, go see some places, then you will know why German engineering is so superior. There is simply NO comparison.

:-)

You're an Arsenal fan. Who thinks they "rock". Your opinions are worthless on at least 2 counts.

Na na na na naaaa naaa. I told you so. . .

(fixed it for you)

It's funny but I'm about to pick up S1000rr
I think it's ugly but it has some awesome features
And some sick reviews !

I love the looks of both of the bikes. Black S1R or red Panigale would both be good with me. Most would probably choose the Duc over the BMW based on looks alone though.

It just goes to show that hp and torque numbers from the manufacturers aren't particularly useful. With BMW underreporting and Ducati over-reporting it's a good thing that there are third party magazines and such to come up with numbers you can use to compare.

I was thinking more along the lines of a desperate need for validation...

Funny thing is though, where these bikes belong (race track) magazine shoot outs don't mean jack. They'll win in CSBK this year because that's 90% of the field (BMW gave a smokin deal to racers and good on them for doing so) but everywhere else other than timmies they're still trying to catch up to the "inferior" big 4 and the old duc.

Didn't like the facts in the other thread about it not running away from a Gsxr?

Crap I'm feeding the troll.

Herp ****in' derp

OP, until BMW wins a WSBK championship, who gives a ******. Both Aprilia and Ducati have proven their capabilities. BMW, hasn't. If you think having a few extra ponies at the top end makes it the best, you have a lot to learn.
