Florida Rentals and Rides..

Possibly driving down to Orlando in Feb with a group of guys on a golf vacation. They already have 4 for golf and I haven't golfed in years, I just want to get out of the cold and get some sun - and I'm looking at the possibility of renting a bike for a day or two and doing some exploring. Looking for advice on rental facilities as well as some nice day rides.

I did some Google searches and the going rates are about $99 to $140 per day depending on the bike, I don't care what type of bike, and I don't need to rent equipment as I have all my own...but referrals are always better based on your first hand experience

Thanks :)

EagleRider Orlando.

You can get a Thruxton for $114. but check the totals with all the insurance.

Just read your travel health insurance carefully to make sure they will cover you , and check for the maximum coverage. At least $500K.

Keep in mind Florida and Texas have the two worse rates of motorcycle fatalities, far above most other states. Between the old people and the drunk drivers, I feel nervous driving a car down there.

I rented a car for a week in September last year in Orlando near Universal Studios and found driving behaviour to be pretty tame. Traffic was just as bad as the GTA during rush hour.

Get a dual sport and take the I-4 to Daytona (5-10 bucks to get in with a vehicle) and ride on the white sand!

No helmet laws make for funny sights too.

Rented from EagleRiders in Orlando and I think Matt(?) helped us out. Great experience! The harley fatboy was great, but the awkward looks from all the elderly was interesting because I was probably the only Asian not in the touristy areas on this monstrous harley.

Ever wanted to squid for real? They have no helmet laws down there! I rode with just a pair of shades, what an interesting experience. Safe to say that i'll never do that again even if given the opportunity. That wind really cuts your eyes without a full face helmet hahaha.

I did this 10 years ago. Man that was fun. My now wife was on a course I went down and just rented a different motorcycle everyday. Not the most exciting place to ride but riding a different motorcycle everyday for 5 days was a blast. Safe travels.
