Flat on QEW

Tried calling Toy Hauler but he's not in the area, just got a flat on the QEW and ideally need someone to just do a patch job so I can get it home slowly, otherwise need a tow. Anyone know someone who can help out? I'm just after the 427, before Dixie

Was sorted out by Aviation Motorcycle, they were riding by and stopped to see if I needed help. Came back with a van, picked me and the bike up and got the tire plugged at their shop in Mississauga so I could make it to Thanksgiving with my family and ride it home. Turns out there are good people still, it would have been quite the expensive day for me if not for them. Looks like I'll be needing new rubber though

How old is the tire, how many KM's on it, where is the damage? I rode on a tire that got a lag bolt in it for 9000km's :)

cool - good ending.

Lot of riders ride a good plug to the end of the tire tread as long as it's not near the sidewall

It's near the edge of the tire, happened when I clipped a giant crack in the road changing lanes. There was a good gouge taken out of it and it's pretty close to the wear bars being flush, so it's had a good run. This is the second time I've put a hole in a rear tire and plugged it temporarily, and it just weighs on my mind too much to leave it as is, being that I'm usually taking the highway somewhere.

Awesome that they saved the day and let you spend it with family.
It might be worth looking into CAA next season, peace of mind and pays for itself on first use.
Also covers bicycle.
