FAST riding school - where to stay / ride report?

Hi there all,

I just signed up for FAST phase 1 as I wanted to get some track training and play motorcycle.

Suzuki is not providing demo days this year and I'm looking at the mid-range bikes for my next street bike (gsx8r, r7 or cbr650). I'm sure they are ALL excellent bikes but at 5'4; ride height is a concern for me and I wanted to test out riding ergonomics

So FAST is ideal offering both yamaha & suzuki bikes as an option on track.... Looking forward to it and if I can find a place to stay (and the weather cooperative); might sign up for phase 2 as well closer to the date.

HOWEVER, does anyone have any experience on where to stay. I know camping on site is an option. Are there cheap/easy to book places in the area?

I've booked grand bend/racer5 a few times and have found a reliable go-to (veslo) from reading the forum here.

Looking for thoughts for someone that knows the region better.

Shannonville right? There are a number of motels/hotels in Belleville and Greater Napanee. My personal preference is Napanee. There's a motel 3 km from the track, I haven't personally stayed there so can't offer any reviews. I have stayed at Fox Motor Inn in Napanee and found it to be good. I was suggested Best Western in Belleville by a few others, and Hampton Inn is also not too far from there.

I would recommend calling and booking in advance. Summers are usually busy.

I stayed here:

Royal Napanee Inn

Went solo so posh accomadations were out the window in lieu of better food (Jimmi's Italian) and other stuff for the bike. Less than $80 per night if I can remember. The weekend had 1 guy pitch a tent and it rained. He took out his frustations on the track got the fastest lap (on the R6) while saving $$. That could be you!
