Everybody Give Me Wrong Battery, Even When I Give Them My Ownership

My bike's battery went kaput, from old age and performance. I went to Royal Distributing and gave them my ownership. They gave me a battery and went home to install it. Battery too high and the motorcycle seat won't go down. NO returns. I paid $120 for it, sold it in Kijiji for $50. Ordered from Amazon and input my exact details, Kawasaki R6N 2015 and they sent me the wrong battery again, it's too high, different brand, different price. What's going on here? Why can't anybody get their sh!t together? I went only to American forums and found out this is a widespread problem, exact owners also getting wrong batteries left and right. This battery is different than all of other popular Kawasaki, even same model but of different years. I cannot slap in just any other low-height battery, it has to be 10HR and the right amount of amps.

Batteries have a model designation. Look on the battery and find what model it is and that'll tell you all you need to order a replacement. Some battery makers use proprietary model designators vs standards, but there's almost always cross reference charts out there if you Google it.

There's also charts that show measurements of replacement batteries as well as model numbers - example below.

Is it not supposed to be a YTA-12BS? That's what I get off an online parts fiche

Any battery that fits will work fine none of the things you are worried about matter. Take your old battery in and get a new one

Since pretty much every Japanese manufacturer uses Yuasa as their OEM battery, I always go off that then find an equivalent:

Looks like a YTX14-BS or equivalent (assume TX14 in the Energizer chart above?) fits all ER-6 models...

@Priller Where did you find that? I'm pretty sure that's wrong, I got YTA-12BS off a Kawi parts diagram. That could also be connected to Pegassus's troubles as I think those ALL might be wrong (older ER6n models used a YTX-12BS I think)

Got it from here:

Kawasaki Replacement Battery Chart

Edit: Looks like the main difference is the 14 is 15mm taller than the 12B. Lines up with the OP complaint.
