Empire battle wagons land at The Shed

:D they did a good job striking awe......the chairs at the Shed are like 10" off the ground and when the pair of them pulled up and I'm like 6' from the headlights right at my eye level staring straight into them the comparison with Empire battlewagons was not hard to jump to. Especially given the LEDs and the very storm trooper look to the modular helmets.

Nice bunch tho and to give them credit they weren't posers - they had the continent as their patrol zone.
It was fun and there are few bikes that make the rather chunky Burgman look tiny. These did.
Still I have half their cargo capacity without the bulk or the side bags.

Always something neat at the Shed ......ATGATT riders falling down wormholes aka trapdoors, horses tied at the hitching rail, bicycles pulled worth more tan 90% of the motorcycles there.....
Still waiting on a unicycle tho.

Heading up this morning, looks lovely out and I did not ride at all on the weekend
- clear air and not too cold. Maybe get a real alien landing this early :confused1: - coffee is very good......famous across the Universe and Beyond.....hmmm wrong movie ;)

I like to refer to the Goldwing as "couch on 2 wheels" but it has its uses once you get into a certain age group but still wanna ride.

On Jully 1st I flew out to Calgary Alberta. My friend (who rides a CBR600RR) got me a bike to ride for the weekend. It was a 2010 Honda Goldwing. The bike literally weighs double what my 2006 V-Strom weighs.

We did a four day, 2000 km ride, she on her CBR and me on the Wing.

You know, it isn't my cup of tea but you really have to be impressed at how well the bike rides. It has plenty of power and speed, can be tossed around quite nicely in twisties and generaly is a great mount for doing long distance rides; I suspect even more so two up.

I don't think I will ever get one for myself, but it sure gets a lot of respect from me.

It was THE dream machine in the 70s and 80s.
Saw a naked one for sale on the Kiji forum - very cool looking.
