This rating is on my new trials helmet.I won't use it on the street, but i think i can if i want to.Anyone have a euro lid with this rating?
Ontario recently changed the HTA to allow helmets meeting ECE 22-05 in addition to DOT and Snell (and CSA, which no one uses).
I've had a few Shark helmets that are ECE 22-05 and like them.
My BMW EVO 6 is also ECE R22/05 and according to the manual does not comply with US DOT standards.
However I do use it in the US.
Does that mean if you got pulled over, you would get a ticket?
My race helmets are ECE-2205
But what about the "r" in the designation?
Pretty sure the "R" is just an abbreviation of "regulation".
I've got a Klim F4 ECE, which weighs a whole pound less than the Snell version of the same helmet.
