Dyno Recommendations

Carbed bike here.

Im trying to find a dyno that takes fuel/air ratio readings and/or[FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, lucida grande, arial, helvetica, sans-serif] [/FONT]wide band 02 sensor which would measure/hold afr readings.

I have my settings close so looking to fine tune. Any recommendations??

My bike was fuel injected so I could tune the idle fuel myself to sort it out. Here is what I had to do to get a smooth idle with my Power Commander (4% extra fuel at idle):

Any dyno days any time soon? Just wanna see what my stock CBR600rr puts down for fun.
 
You might consider a wide band A/F gauge and welded in sensor bung. For tuning later with airbox and exhaust etc. mods. .02

Always a good option :) GoPro makes a great data logger as well :)

Don Morris @ Stay Tuned Systems in Mount Hope. Never met the man but here good things when his name comes up (HD crowd)

re GoPro: did not know that, good to know.

Personally I wouldn't dyno a carbed bike unless I had an oddball set up. Most bikes and mods have specs somewhere on the web and the rest is seat of the pants fine tuning with or without A/F gauge. What are you going to do with a perfectly jetted bike (combinations can be endless) when there's a 30 degree temp. swing and if the elevation changes greatly? Get the A/f gauge and learn to jet.

The owner, Bruce, isn't the best person at replying to e-mails.

Here's how the conversion went:

Me: Are you guys doing a dyno day anytime soon?
Bruce: We dyno every day except sundays.

Me: I meant if you were putting on a dyno day, an all day event, you know, good price for single run or two, just afr + hp, no torque, etc
Bruce: we can do it anytime

I give up :(

Dynotunes is ****. I would rather deal with John McBride than Bruce.

Here's my experience with them last year:

I gave them my motorcycle 2.5 weeks before SOAR practice weekend and explicitly told him when I needed it. The wednesday before my Friday departure I call because I didn't hear an update. "Oh, you're going racing with it?" - no ****, it's a race bike. He then says he'll do it first thing Thursday.

I get a call Thursday at 2:00pm. "My boss is at the U.S. and our Dynojet software license just expired, and he has the company credit card... I'll tune it how I can using the Auto Tune".

I pick it up, take it home, and the AT map is the exact same base map I uploaded before I gave it to them those weeks ago. That weekend, it was a wreck the Saturday... totally garbage. Fellow riders were worried something was seriously wrong with it and advised me not to ride. I AT tuned it myself afterwards and fixed the issues myself.

I brought the bike there and all I was given back was an empty gas tank.

What's wrong with his answer? He said you can go in any time. Why does it have to be a gloriously scheduled event? Regardless, Bruce is a moron.


Dynotunes is owned and operated by passionate individuals with no professional experience. Motorcycle are their hobby, so they like to pretend they know everything about them. So far the first and only shop I'll publicly bash on this forum.
