'Gonna do the "Ride the Highlands" Dynamite Ally ... Riding up to Huntsville area tomorrow, ride the ally on Thursday... Stay up there and ride home the slow way on Friday.

They "say" the route is a two day trip (500km), but just makes me wonder which slow-pokes write these articles..??

Sub-in Lower Faraday Rd and thank me later as it'll be one of the best roads you'll do on that ride. It goes from Coe Hill to where you need it to on 28.

How's the condition on that one now? I haven't been on it this year and it's the perfect excuse to go riding.

North end is perfect. They were redoing the south end in early Spring so it should be good to go now.

Awesome - can't wait.
Have you been on Harburn Rd this year? That was another one that was getting repave, so I haven't been on it yet either.

No I haven't made it up that way yet this year. Been mostly exploring when out.
 
Rode up to Huntsville yesterday the long way.
Rode the "Dynamite Ally" run today... 'Took 6 hours including coffee/eat/bum break stops and a visit to the Dorset observation tower. Which was closed :-(
At some point today the area was put under a total fire ban...
What's the point of moto-camping without a campfire..?
So... we backed up and took hwy 11/400/407 home...

1112.5 km for the two days away

Were you suppose to go out West, I missed what happened?

Yeah, I had planned on another run to the Okanagan, but something came up that required me to fly out to get there sooner than I would have had biked.
I still had a week in the sunny valley, just no motorcycle involved.
I'll try again next year

Inlaws cottage is there. Not much happening west of tattersal (the mostly boring part). I take the east portion when I can but my one kid gets car sick on it so I haven't done it this year.
