Ducati rear wheel socket

I’m surprised battery powered tools are said to work nearly as well as I hear. It’s certainly not the case with drills that I’ve used… my corded drills have always been way more powerful than my expensive cordless ones!

After doing more reading - I see guys talking about having broken their breaker bars on these nuts.

When I get the right socket, I think I'll buy an impact gun. I only have a small compressor that does 2.4 CFM at 90 PSI. Not sure if that will be enough. Or I could go electric.

It's very interesting.

First, I've seen more than a few people claim their battery-powered impact gun could loosen a fastener that their pneumatic couldn't budge. I also found a few posts where people claimed 3/4" impacts wouldn't move the nut but a 1/2" would.

Both go against what I thought I understood - but maybe people are comparing different grades of tools?

Torque Test Channel on youtube is the only place I've seen controlled, objective comparisons between various tools. They tabulate the findings and rank at the end. You can check it out to see if its worth going from ait to electric of vice-versa depending on your budget.

EDIT: They now sell access to the actual chart itself that you can search through for $21 CAD:

Keep in mind, those numbers are using 150 PSI so you'll need a compressor that can output that much to get the same results.
Some are battery powered in that chart. Also most guns are rated for 90-100 psi so while you may be able to use them a little at 150, keep a rebuild kit on hand.
