Discount motorcycle magazines

This isn't new but some people aren't aware of this "trick". There are some great deals on magazine subscriptions south of the border that aren't available to us. However, if you subscribe using a US address (any US address, I use a library in NY) and then switch the address on the magazine's website to your Canadian address after a few weeks then you get the benefits of the discount price and delivery to your door. This works with quite a few different magazines but I haven't tried a motorcycle one yet. I get Esquire this way.

An example or two. From http://www.discountmags.com/section/4/1/auto---cycles motorcyclist magazine is 9.99 for a year, cycle world is 12.97, rider magazine is 11.99, sport rider 15.95 (all US funds). Some of these are even cheaper too if you find a promotional code. Look here for codes http://forums.redflagdeals.com/merg...ular-science-motor-trend-etc-3-6-year-898259/

Enjoy.

There's many others in different categories too. Might be worth a try, I'm subscribing to a few of these tomorrow. Just remember to change your "US address" to your canadian address after a few weeks on the magazine website (not the discounters website).

Thanks for sharing, I never knew.
I kept paying a premium for my mags

So for the first few weeks before you change the address a library gets your magazines? What if they were to put "return to sender" on it and ship it back, would your subscription get cancelled? And what if you cannot change the address to a Canadian one, you're basically out the (discounted) subscription cost? Sorry for the questions, but I really like this idea, and want to try it, but only if it's going to work. Thanks!!!
