Dirt and track courses for street riders

I know this isn't what you had asked, but another suggestion would be renting a bike abroad where twisties are in every direction is where I've learned most.

Road trips in Ontario are decent as well, but nothing like renting a bike in Italy. I did it in Florence and via the "curvey" setting on the BMW gps, I experienced 4 hours of non-stop small technical sections with tonnes of blind corners through forests, small towns, dirt/cobblestone roads, long flowy tuscan b-roads. Elevation changes were the most dramatic I've experienced. I was mentally depleted after 4 hours, and had to change the GPS from curvey to 'fastest time'.

Fixed a lot of bad habits, experimented a lot and finally "clicked" with correct body/bike positioning for corners--especially blind ones.

Tuscany region, can't say anything bad about it. And lovely affordable food e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.

The best riders in the world come from motocross. What does that tell you? Why pay for a course? Get yourself an RM / YZ/ CR / KX 125 for peanuts on Kijiji find some dirt and go animal. You'll have a **** eating grin on your face for days and a lot of new skills.

The problem in S Ontario is finding legal places to to ride them.
Not true at all. If you join the OFTR and are willing to travel some.

and that's the issue....

Just have to know where the trails are my friend. There's a large network of trail right in your backyard....(Mississauga)

Did you miss the bit about "legally" ....there is no network of legal trails and the cops do enforce the ban. I've ridden off road for decades in the region and it used to be easy ..( I lived in Waterdown and we rode our trials bikes all over )...now it's not.

Don't get your panties in a twist. There are some legal places to ride on crown land close by. Not many, but a few.

It is very true if go a little bit further north (Creemore area) you'll start to find tons of places to ride. Joining the ODSC is a great way to discover secret spots from the members.
