Just wondering if anyone else in the forum buys diecast motorcycle and where do you buy? The eBay listings I found so far for the cheap brands are a bit expensive.

It's been a while but if I recall there was a great place in square one. Not sure if he's still there but the same guy had a booth at the auto show this year. Name of the shop is escaping me at the moment.

Car Buffs?

This gas station has TONS of VERY high end die cast models: http://goo.gl/maps/nFTb3

I know the owner personally, he's a huge die cast collector, so carries a ton in his gas station store :)

Don't know if they're still there but there used to be a kiosk at Yorkdale near the south west corner of the mall.

Derrick at tomotorsports in scarborough. I have over 100 f1 and motorcycles lol. Also there is a cigar shop up at jane north or hwy 7 that has cars too. But tomotorsports has the best prices.
If your going to get motorcycles then make sure they are minichamps, great quality. Minichamps cars, auto art and bbr are the ones to go with

Thanks everyone for the replies...

I think Car Buffs at Square One closed a few years ago. And I know the variety store on Jane and Hwy 7, but I don't remember seeing any motorcycles there. I gotta go check it out again.

I also checked tomotorsports' site and they do have the higher end die casts (like minichamps), but I'm not a collector... I really just wanted the cheap Maisto ones (not NewRay as their quality is really bad).

I'll check out the other places that you guys posted as well.

Thanks! :)

Holy crap Jamie, I’m in that Tim Horton's a couple or three times a month as an
old racing / gaming buddy of mine lives just a couple of minutes away on the 8th
line. However, I’ve never been into the gas bar. Who would’ve thought, eh?

I do the computers/internet/solar power system (notice the MONSTER solar panels out back?? big $$ RoI) for that Petro Can. First time I was in the gas bar I'm like WTF is with the huge wall of die cast models? And why are the prices $100 to $400? The lady there explained the owner was a die cast freak and paid using his own money to put his own addition onto the gas bar so he could fit his die cast cars in there, as Petro Canada said they wouldn't let him put it anywhere in "their" store :D lol.

I got a few bikes 1:12 scale from ebay.. $15 Including delivery from China/HK. Awesome quality.. I have also modified a couple to make other bikes ;-)

I wanted a particlular bike and could not find a scale model of it, so last year I emailed a couple of the Manufacturers a request to make the bike .. well, you know what, this year they did!! I still yet to buy it, but pretty happy they made the model as its not your run of the mill Ninja, Gixxer or Ducati that you can easily find.

I buy my scale models on Ebay. Wayy cheaper then the stores here and more fun to make then buy :D

oh, I like how yours come with a small pit stand too!

Speaking of high end die casts and having specific models made, my brother
commissioned a company in south Oshawa, (Durham Classics) to do a replica of our
father’s 1934 La Salle that he now owns.

This photo was taken when the car was on display at the 1964 New York Auto
Show.

This is the limited edition die cast made in 2000 that was painted with the
last little bit of original automotive paint used during the restoration in the
early sixties.

Durham Classics have now done many runs with different colours and
options. This is the URL for their 1943 La Salle page:
