Derek was very well known to all those who liked RD/RZ/TZ Yamaha's and was the brains and driving force behind Hejira Racing
All through the 70's, 80's and 90's he fabricated custom frames and swingarm's for Yamaha's line of street and race twin cylinder two strokes. He also had Spax manufacture a line of very high end shocks for the LC and the YPVS to his design. His chassis and suspension parts were used by many racers with great success and were the things to have back in the day.
I have a Spax shock and Hejira arm in one of my LC's. Its very nice
