My neighbour was an accountant. He wasn't cheap, he just had an eye for value. He could never bother buying a Harley because he loved his Yamaha Roadstar 1600 so much and couldn't justify the extra expense for "essentially the same thing, bar the branding" - his words, not mine. I used to watch him polish his bike for hours. He loved his bike, arguably only second to his wife. His favorite thing in the world was an afternoon cruise in the county.
After he put his bike away for winter storage, he went for routine surgery. He never came back.
His widow has been trying to sell his bike and has had no bites. I don't get it. Is there something wrong with this model? Too many km's? Price too high? I think she may be selling it like some junk to get rid of, not the most precious possession of an obsessive professional.
